Tatyana Palchuk
Tatyana Palchuk (b.1954) lives and paints in Riga, Latvia. Art is a means for her to express emotions and touch people in a positive way, her works are delicate and carefully composed, with an emphasis on details and balance. Positivism, humanism, and harmony are the characteristics of her works.
Palchuk’s works are a mix of surrealism and realism styles, filled with symbols and philosophical signs. Music is another source of inspiration of her works, although sound is invisible; however, putting it down to an artwork, it reflects and explores knowledge, philosophy, perception of life, and relationship. Her still-life series captures animals and objects, which symbolizes unity and harmony of nature and conveys that things surrounding us which should be appreciated and treasured by us.
She has participated in numerous exhibitions in Latvia and abroad, from the International Biennale Palermo in 2014 and 2015, Venice Biennale in 2019, and pre-sale exhibition with Ravenel Auction in Taiwan and Hong Kong in 2019. Her works are in private and public collections, including the Russian Art Union and the Ministry of Culture of the Russian Federation.
