Born and raised in Manchuria, North-Eastern China during the Cultural Revolution, Wang Hui studied fashion design at college in Liaoning Province. She moved to London in the early noughtied and became a naturalised British citizen. During her time in London design became sketch, and following her move to Hong Kong in 2006 her sketching has developed into illustration in realism style. Wang primarily works in graphite, charcoal and pastels, and occasionally watercolours.
